The Metropolitan Council is updating the Aviation System elements of the 2030 Transportation Policy Plan (TPP) in two phases. First phase occurred in 2008 with update of the aviation policies, strategies, and guidelines. Second phase started in 2008 and is expected to be completed in 2009; it involves updating of aviation inventory data, trend analysis information, forecasts of demand, evaluation of system classification and airport role, system performance, assessment of system development alternatives/opportunities, and identification of costs and priorities.
Attached is the following working DRAFT material produced by the Council's consultant for review and discussion by the Technical Task Force. This material will be part of a final Twin Cities 2030 Aviation System Plan Update Report. The Report will be reviewed by the TAC and TAB with submittal for review by the Council's Transportation Committee. Upon review and acceptance of the Report by the Council it will be used as input for amendment of the TPP as appropriate.
